AStromaker
Astromaker is a collaboration with the Kaimuki Waialae YMCA to teach to A+ students within our complex, specifically for children in the lower-middle class. We do this in collaboration with Astromaker, a educational robotics program that creates a curriculum based off of Lego Education sets. With their help, we can use a curriculum that teaches them a unit per week for three weeks. Furthermore, we are now the 2nd school in the US to be pilot testing this curriculum.
our Mission
Our goal with Astromaker is to provide STEM opportunities to many different children on the island of Oahu. We focus on title III elementary schools where we teach them how to code and build a robot to do many different objections.
Our Vision
We want many different children around the island to have the opportunity to experience these STEM activities as there are some students who may not have access to them.
