Academies Sponsoring
BELOW ARE OUR ACADEMY PROGRAMS, THROUGH THESE WE ARE ABLE TO REACH OUT COMMINITY FROM ALL AGES AND ENRICH THEIR LEARNING EXPERIENCES!
Kalani Robotics Academy(KRA)
KRA has been a event we've hosted every school break for decades, reaching 80-100 kids per break from pre-K to 8th grade. Through KRA we host 7 different academies simultaneously, such as VEXIQ, EV4R, EV4E, CoDronesI, CoDronesII, STEM, & Makerspace.
Examples of what we would use the money for
- Replacing/Improving Kits
- Creating more classes
ASTROMAKER
Astromaker is one of our new programs that is partnered with a Brazilian Company. This program is a afterschool YMCA/A+ program where students from 2nd-5th grade in low incoming schools get to experience our EV4 curriculum, learning project based learning and robotics skills.
Examples of what we would use the money for
- Improving Capacity
- Creating more classes
Girls in Technology(GTEC)
GTEC is a program that creates workshop specifically for girls that hopes to encourage them into the STEM field more.
Examples of what we would use the money for
- Replacing/Improving Kits
- Creating more classes
- Allowing the girls to take more stuff home to help benefit their learning
Innovation Station
Innovation Station (IS) is our new project as of last year. It is a mobile classroom(retrofitted shipping container) that travels to a different school each quarter and has technologies like laser cutters, 3D printers and STEM lessons made by us. It stays at a school hoping to encourage teachers and students to use these tools and possibly get them for themselves, so far we've donated tools to two different schools and are looking forwards to helping many more.
Examples of what we would use the money for
- Improving Capacity
- Creating more mobile labs
- Donating/Funding for schools to get their own technologies
Schools it's gone to
Schools it will go to!
Help us make more of these tech labs so we can spread these opportunities all over the islands
